Broom finished concrete, also referred to as "regular" concrete, is one of the most common finishes you will see on concrete surfaces such as driveways, sidewalks, and patios. It provides slip resistance on surfaces that receive foot traffic. It is the least expensive finish out of broomed, exposed aggregate, and stamped concrete.
When it comes to residential driveways, sidewalks, patios, and porches, we pour using a minimum of 4000 psi concrete and a 4 inch thickness. We typically mix fibers into our concrete which reduces the chance of shrinkage cracking. We also use rebar or wire mesh to reinforce the concrete. We are happy to provide banded or picture framed edging on your broom finished project at no additional cost.
